An army of gardeners worked on all the plantings and on the terraces and throughout the park, so that they could please the eye of the ducal family, but also of the many citizens and tourists visiting the park. To top it all off, in almost every fountain or enclosed spring on the terraces there were sculptures depicting fauns with pets and there was, for example, a group of sculptures with one theme – a boy with a turtle on his back, a boy with a fish, a boy with a crayfish, or a boy holding a goose.

The project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian funds.
