The Community Cultural Centre in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki is taking part in the project entitled “New quality of sightseeing in the romantic palace and park complex in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki”.
New quality of sightseeing in the romantic palace and park complex in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki.
The project has received funding under the CULTURE Programme of the European Economic Area Mechanism 2014-2021, Measure 1: Improvement of cultural heritage management, Sub-measure 1.1: Restoration and revitalisation of cultural heritage.
Project leader from Poland: Kamieniec Ząbkowicki Commune – the commune is engaged in management of basic public activities, owns the palace and park complex of Marianne Orange-Nassau in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki.
Polish partner: Community Cultural Centre in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki – cultural institution which comprehensively executes tasks in the field of culture, such as creation, dissemination and protection of culture, conducting its activity, among others, in the Palace of Marianne Orange-Nassau in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki.
Partner from the Donor State: Fjellugla Kompetanse AS. Norway – a non-profit organisation specialising in organising courses and trainings for adults in e.g. old craft techniques.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
- Conservation, restoration and construction works, revalorisation of the ground floor of the Palace of Marianne Orange-Nassau in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki – conservation works of the cloister paintings and also works concerning the reconstruction of the original terrace composition with all elements of the decor (including garden sculpture, pergolas, historic planting).
- Cultural and educational offer – numerous cultural events addressed to various groups of recipients (e.g. exhibition activities, outdoor events, festivals, art and craft reviews, lectures, shows, presentations, concerts aimed at cultural education and animation of cultural entrepreneurship).
- Training related to the scope of the project – trainings will be organised for the employees of the Community Cultural Centre in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki and for the employees of the Municipality, as well as trainings for the local community and the institutional and business environment (e.g. in cultural entrepreneurship, cultural heritage management).
- Purchase of equipment necessary to conduct cultural activity and protect cultural heritage.
- Promotion and information at national, regional and local level.
The Polish partner – Community Cultural Centre in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki – supports the Project Leader in the following tasks:
- Partner as a self-government cultural institution of Kamieniec Ząbkowicki Municipality (organised by the Project Leader) manages the palace-park complex in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki on the basis of an agreement.
- The Partner conducts all organisational and administrative activities related to managing and opening the area of the complex to visitors.
- The Partner will support the Project Leader, in terms of organisation and content, in carrying out information and promotional activities of the project.
- The Polish partner will be responsible for the implementation of the educational and cultural programme and will provide substantive and organisational support.
- The employees of the partner institutions will take part in the trainings within the framework of the Project.
The Project Partner Fjellugla Kompetanse AS will participate in the implementation of the so-called “soft” activities of the Project:
- The Partner will be responsible for organizing trainings for guides and cultural animators at the Palace of Marianne Orange-Nassau in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki and the Communal Cultural Centre in Kamieniec Ząbkowicki. The trainings will concern, among others, the protection of cultural heritage, conservation and use of historic buildings, the way the institutions function, implementation of the cultural offer and cooperation with the local community.
- There will be a working, study visit of educators to the headquarters of the Partner and a visit in Poland, during which the acquired knowledge and skills of animators will be used in practice.
- The partner will share its knowledge, experience and good practices with the Project Leader and thus develop international cooperation in the field of culture. Thanks to consultations with the partner in the field of e.g. modern management methods, creative development in rural areas and ways to build an offer for different audience groups, an educational programme of the institution and a business model allowing to build a network of loyal tourists and guests of the palace will be created.
PROJECT EFFECTS
- The revitalisation of the palace-park complex will contribute to the preservation and renewal of the cultural landscape values of Kamieniec Ząbkowicki by introducing new cult and educational functions as an attractive form of spending free time and participating in cultural life.
- The garden revitalisation project and adaptation works in the palace, complemented by a comprehensive cultural offer, will stimulate local tourism and will be an important mechanism of commune development.
- After the completion of the project, further cooperation with the project partner in the implementation of the cultural and educational offer is envisaged.
