The sculpture ‘Personification of the Danube’ was located next to the figure of the Rhine recently shown in our profile. Both figures once adorned the terrace of the Palace of Marianne of Orange. Although the sculpture is one of the least known pedestals, we were able to obtain source iconography and are now in the process of restoration.
